Welcome Home is an LGBTQIA+ specific program in San Bernardino County that provides supportive housing for TAY 18- 24 years old who are homeless or at risk for homelessness. We are a seven-bed housing-first program with the goal of working one-on-one with our clients in an attempt to guide them toward an independent life. This one-of-a-kind program is equipped with on-site staff, including advocates and a case manager, that are also a part of the LGBTQIA+ community. At Welcome Home, our clients can grow and thrive in a house free from any discrimination or judgment they may have faced before.
We provide on-site housing support and case management. Our job is to set goals and work side-by-side with them to accomplish their goals. With the help of our many useful resources we assist them with counseling, financial assistance, time management, and housing! We also provide basic needs such as transportation, food and clothing.
As we are a part of the LGBTQIA+ community we seek queer friendly resources so that our clients feel safe and understood. This includes LGBT friendly grief counseling, medical appointments, substance use prevention meetings and more. We also provide support and services for name changing documentation, gender affirming care, as well as services for whatever hormonal supplements they may need.
